Trackside Villas is located at No. 4105 Tai Po Road, Tai Po Kau, New Territories.
Supported and coordinated by the Task Force on Transitional Housing under the Transport and Housing Bureau, Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) signed a licence agreement with MTR Corporation Limited (MTRC) in 2020 on the use of their property Trackside Villas for operating a transitional housing project for 5 years.
Of the 252 units of Trackside Villas, 192 are two-bedroom units in Block I and 60 are three-bedroom units in Block U. As of Jan 2023, over 180 flats are available for use of transitional housing.
Furthermore, HKHS collaborates with the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). Through their Community Housing Movement, HKCSS sub-lets some of the transitional housing units to people in need with family support services.
Completed in the 1960s, Ming Wah Dai Ha in Shau Kei Wan is currently under redevelopment and its Block A to E, which falls under the third phase of the redevelopment scheme, is expected to be redeveloped in 2028. As such, The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) has ceased allocating the vacant units in these blocks (except transfer within estate) while renovating them into transitional housing to provide about 200 "T-home" units for applications from two-person to four-person families who have been on the waiting list of public rental housing for three years or more.

The Hong Kong Housing Society's (HKHS) rental housing estate in Kowloon City, viz Chun Seen Mei Chuen, will be redeveloped in about five years. To optimise the use of existing housing resources, HKHS now launches the transitional rental housing scheme again so as to let out some of the refurbished vacant domestic flats therein as transitional rental housing before its redevelopment.

In 2018, The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) launched its first “T-Home” project at Yue Kwong Chuen, providing over 200 domestic flats as transitional housing. These refurbished flats were made available for those queuing for the Hong Kong Housing Authority’s public rental housing to apply for temporary stay.
The project provides 282 units.
